Once complete, the new store will span over 12,000 square metres and feature an indoor timber trade sales area with a three-lane drive-thru, building materials and landscape supplies yard, kitchen and bathroom displays, café and outdoor nursery.
Bunnings Warehouse Heatherbrae Complex Manager, Michele Hammond, who has been a part of the Bunnings team for 15 years, said she was excited to welcome local residents to the store as well as lending a helping hand in the community.
“Team members are excited to help out local community groups in the lead up to the store opening and in the future,” Michele said.
Several of the new team members are also qualified tradespeople with skills in horticulture machinery, plumbing and building and will be on hand to provide local residents with expert advice and tips for their D.I.Y. projects.
“Bunnings provides a wide range of meaningful career development options for all team members, and I’m confident all our new recruits will relish the opportunity to learn and grow with us,” Michele said.
Every weekend, team members will provide free D.I.Y. Workshops as well as great advice and inspiration for D.I.Y. projects in the home and garden.
Bunnings Warehouse Heatherbrae will also provide ongoing support to local community groups to raise funds for a variety of causes by hosting the famous Bunnings Sausage Sizzles.
“Local customers will enjoy the convenience of the widest range of home improvement and outdoor living products backed by the best service,” Michele said.
