A high-ranking member and an associate of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang have been arrested by officers from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor following a brawl at a north-western Sydney hotel in April this year.
About 10pm on Saturday 16 April 2016, a brawl involving about 10 people took place inside a hotel at Rydalmere after one man punched another in the face.
One patron was knocked unconscious during the incident, and police will allege he was kicked in the head as he lay on the ground.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives executed two search warrants and arrested two men today (Thursday 16 June 2016).
About 6am, officers from Strike Force Raptor, with the assistance of South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad, executed a search warrant at a home in Wentworth Point.
Police located and seized clothing and a substance, believed to be a steroid.
A 38-year-old man, who is a member of the Bandidos, was taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with affray and two counts of breach of bail.
He has been refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today.
About 12.20pm, officers from Strike Force Raptor executed a search warrant at a home in Epping.
A 39-year-old male associate of the Bandidos was arrested at the location and taken to Ryde Police Station, where he was charged with affray.
He has been granted bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday 19 July 2016.
Inquiries are continuing into this incident and related consorting offences. Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, and has not yet spoken to police, to come forward.
