The contest is open to women between the ages of 18 and 25 with the aim of finding young Ambassadors for the local area and beyond.
The winner will go on to represent Bulahdelah in the zone competition, with the chance of being selected to take part in the state finals at the 2019 Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Bulahdelah Show Society President Gary Gooch said the competition is about finding a person most suited to represent young rural women in NSW.
“It’s not a beauty contest,” he said.
“Contestants are independently judged on personality, confidence, ambition, life goals and their knowledge of general and rural issues.”
Reigning Bulahdelah Showgirl Richelle Levey, said the competition is a fantastic opportunity to become more involved within the community and encourages all eligible young women to take part.
“It is an amazing experience that allows for your own personal growth and confidence as well as meeting other like-minded individuals,” she said.
“I have taken away from the competition a sense of achievement in myself and I also found the experience good in helping to promote our small town and show.”
To register for the competition or for further information, contact Bulahdelah Showgirl Coordinator Diane Stidolf via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0408492001.
