Dancers of all ages took to the stage in the Griffith Duncan Theatre at the University of Newcastle on Saturday 1 December in front of a packed crowd of family, friends, and community members.
They proudly demonstrated the fruits of their hard work and dedication to training for all to admire.
This year featured daring cheer routines, elegant ballet, inspiration contemporary, and hip hop routines oozing with attitude.
The 2018 concert saw the edition of a boys only Hip Hop dance with five young Medowie boys showing off their moves and entertaining the audience with their lightsabers to Star Wars themed music.
Head dance teacher, Miss Jenny Burrow, told News Of The Area, “Miss Ellana, Miss Hannah and I are feeling extremely proud.”
“Our students have gone above and beyond this year and we couldn’t be happier with their performance last night.”
“They’ve also had a very successful year in the comps and all that hard work really pays off.”
A week before the concert the students had their annual presentation ceremony.
The teachers presented annual and perpetual trophies to students who have excelled in their chosen dance disciplines.
