LOCAL trivia team ‘Smith & Weston’ had two unexpected wins at Club Lemon Tree recently thanks to a little girl holidaying with her grandmother.
Helen West from Tanilba Bay brought eleven-year-old Erika who lives at Thornton along for the night, but didn’t expect her to contribute much to the team’s performance.
“I was totally wrong,” she said.
“On the first night, there were a few questions about religions and Erika got them right. She had been studying this subject at school. We would not have won without her.”
“On the second night, Erica really starred as the bonus questions were about Barbie dolls. She got our team five points from this but it was in the last round that she took off like a rocket,”she added.
“The final 15 questions were about board games with picture clues. Erica’s eyes lit up and she left the rest of us floundering in her wake.”
Erika looks forward to her holidays at Tanilba and can’t wait to get back.
“I shared in the prize money and I really enjoyed the fun night out.” It’s great to do other things with my grandmother as well,” she said.
Trivia night is a regular Wednesday night fixture at Club Lemon Tree.
It costs a mere $2 to enter and all you have to do is turn up at 7pm. Why not give it a whirl?
