Kaleidoscope’ is derived from Ancient Greek, its literal meaning being ‘observer of beautiful forms.’
Meryl Miller of the Port Stephens Community Arts Centre told News Of The Area, “Our artists creative minds have run wild and the result is a veritable kaleidoscope of colour and musical images.”
She believes now is a great time to visit the centre for a bespoke one of a kind winter warmer with plenty of handmade options available.
The centre is also sporting a current display by the Spinners and Weavers in the Annex featuring works produced using the raw fibres of wool, alpaca, silk, and mohair.
The group comb and card the fibres then apply age old techniques like felting and dying to enhance their creations which are knitted, crocheted and made into unique garments.
There’s a huge array of snuggly warm items for the wardrobe as well as beautiful handmade outfits for babies, all lovingly made by Port Stephens locals.
