Rachael is now well known throughout the Port Stephens community.
Ms Vaughan said, “The best part about reporting has been the extra connections I made in the community.”

When asked what her favourite story was she said, “I do have a soft spot for the stories of our young people doing great things.”
“They are the future of Port Stephens, and our future is looking bright with all the wonderful things I’ve been able to report on that involve them.”

Ms Vaughan said she will assist Kate with all the work that she does within the community and in State Parliament.
Rachael wishes to Thank the community for their stories and sharing some really special moments with her.
Rachael said, “I look forward to still following the News Of The Area closely, and hope the community continues to support the newspaper.”
