FOR more than a decade, Myall Fitness, with Ann Woods at the helm, has been doing its best to keep its members fit and healthy.

As a qualified Instructor, Ann has offered the community a huge array of fitness machines, classes and personal programs at her gym in the Tea Gardens Industrial Estate.
But the time has come, said Ann, to call it a day.
“After nearly 11 years, I feel it’s time to retire,” Ann said.
Ann is putting the Gym on the market and she’s hoping to sell it as a going-concern.
“I think it would be a huge shame if we can’t keep this for the town, I have around 90 members and they would really miss this if the Gym went,” Ann said.
“It’s been very satisfying to see people make progress and I would like to think that we’ve provided people with the information to empower them to be responsible for their own health.”
Some of her members have been going to the Gym since it first opened.
Ann’s still holding plenty of classes, and the gym is open seven days a week, the doors opening at 6am, with a siesta over the midday period and reopening again in the afternoon until 7pm.
As for Ann, when the time is right, she’s going to hit the Grey Nomad Trail, a visit to the Great Barrier Reef long overdue.
