Bulahdelah Police have welcomed Senior Constable Ashley Ray to the area after taking up a position at the station last week.
Senior Constable Ray has worked with the Police Force for the past decade with previous appointments in Liverpool, Bankstown and most recently in Tenterfield.
Sn Constable Ray said his experi
ence in both city and rural locations will serve him well for his work in the local area.
“My experience has given me an all-rounded set of skills and I’m willing to take on any challenge,” he said.
“I enjoy working in the Police Force because of the variety, and you get to be there for people when they need it.”
Ashley recently moved to the area with his wife and three young children and said the town was a “hidden treasure.”
“This is a beautiful town and a great place to have a family,” Ashley told News Of The Area.
“I’m very grateful to be here and I look forward to meeting everyone in the community.”
Sn Constable Ray is very approachable and said he encourages everyone to “wave and say hi” when they see him out and about.
Ashley also said he was looking forward to becoming involved in the community and was interested in working with youth in the town outside his official policing duties.
