The towering Alum Mountain, the majestic Myall River, which is home to the giant bass, and the Grandis a little further north, are some of the popular sites. Patrick said the addition of the koala will hopefully put the town on the map and boost the number of visitors to the area. “This type of tourist item lets people outside of our town know we are here and that there are many things to look at and visit,” he said. “Hopefully more people will stop and enjoy the offerings we have.” The Big Koala is located roadside at the Mount View Motel on Bulahdelah Way.
