The opening night and auction will be held at the Sourced and Salvage Studio at 84A Hyde Street, Bellingen on Friday 9 July.

The purpose of the auction is to celebrate growing community resistance to proposed logging of Gumbaynggirr homelands, to raise vital funds for Camp Nunguu and to generally fund actions that directly defend native state forests under threat.

Singer-Songwriter Danika Smith, from Narrm (Melbourne) will share her raw, timeless folk sounds and ‘honey stick’ melodies.

The doors open at 6pm for viewing the artworks and enjoying drinks and snacks.

Silent auction bidding begins at 6:30pm and runs for two weeks.

The 25 works for sale in this auction can only be viewed live at Sourced and Salvage.

The live auction starts at 7:30pm and will be live streamed from the ‘Newry Native Forest Blockade’ Instagram page to enable bids and comments.

A full listing of artists and works will be at www.newryartauction.com.
