Tea Gardens Public School’s biggest annual fundraiser is open to crowds for the 38th consecutive year.
The Easter art and craft expo sees the children’s art work, as well as artwork from well-known and local artists on display, up for auction and for sale.
“It’s our major fundraiser and we encourage everyone to come along,” coordinator of the event Christine Wisemantel said.
Opening night is Thursday, April 2 from 6:30pm at Tea Gardens Public School and tickets are $20.
There will be a light supper, live music by Carly Jacobsen and a complimentary glass of wine on arrival.
Tickets are on sale from the school office or at the door on the night.
“It’s always a great night out for the parents,” Christine said.
The evening will see the auctioning off of the kid’s group class painting. A Peter Fennell art piece valued at $1500 will be raffled; tickets are $1 to enter.
All students will do individual paintings which will be for sale throughout the show. Each class has a different theme, including the year 3/4 class where the students have each created colourful spin art.
The art show will be open to everyone from Friday to Sunday 9am until 5pm and Monday 9am until 3pm at Tea Gardens Public School.
Admission is $2 and kids under 12 are free.
Throughout the show there will be demonstrations from Galleries in the Garden artists, Well-known and local artists as well as a sculptor.
There will also be plenty of activities for the children.
Money raised this year will go towards a new children’s playground at the school.
