That’s exactly what has happened with the Extenda Cup Fishing event and fundraiser made up of a group of family, friends, co-workers, contractors and suppliers.
Peter from Extend a Home told News Of The Area, “we have had our children come along in the very beginning, they are now married and bring their own families.”
Held over the weekend, 22 and 23 February at the Myall River Camping grounds Hawks Nest around 200 campers gathered for fun festivities, the fishing competition, a Raffle and Auction with all monies raised going directly to Ronald McDonald House Northern Region.
Ross Bingham CEO of Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW said, “I have been coming up here for the last five years, we feel like part of the family, the generosity of this incredibly social-minded group is amazing.”
“Money raised goes directly to helping ill children and their families using Ronald McDonald House or our family rooms in hospitals and learning programs, it affects thousands of families and makes a real difference,” Ross said.
Ronald McDonald himself performed a mystical Magic show much to the delight and laughter of both children and adults alike.
Cheryl from Myall River camp told News Of The Area, “Ronald McDonald House allows families of sick children to stay together instead of being separated this year’s fundraising event has now raised $26,537.65 and hoping to get to $27,000.”
At Saturday afternoon’s fish weigh-in the award of Champion Angler 2020 was presented by Peter to Ivan Fleggo.
