Julia Redlich of the Fingal Bay Probus Club told News Of The Area, “Our club is known for its love of sampling the joys of the fine food and wines of the area.
“They also enjoy taking advantage of the wonderful walks as well,” she said.
On a recent excursion by the Walking for Pleasure group, organised by Rosamund and Norman Martin,Probus Club members joined visitors to the region in investigating the wonders of Barry Park.
Barry Park has a wonderful walking track which follows the shoreline of Fingal Bay, the track has a special whale watching platform as well as a dog off lead exercise area and children’s playground.
Members were well rugged up against the wind but were able to enjoy the sunshine and glorious blue skies on their walk.
After all the energetic walking the Probus Club members stopped off for a cup of coffee and a light brunch.
The Walking for Pleasure group enjoys exploring different parts of Port Stephens on their walks.
