NEWCASTLE airport at Williamtown is adding another destination to their flight schedule, making another NSW destination just that more time efficient to choose as a short break away for families.
From October, Newcastle will be added to flight destinations from Coffs Harbour.
FlyPelican have announced that flights between Newcastle Airport and Coffs Harbour will commence on Monday 17 October 2016.
The Newcastle based independent regional airline operates a fleet of 19 seat pressurised British Aerospace Jetstream 32 aircraft.
FlyPelican CEO Paul Graham said, “FlyPelican is very excited to be adding yet more routes to its network. Newcastle to Coffs Harbour is very well suited to our Jetstream 32 aircraft that seats 19 passengers.”
The flight time is just under 50 minutes and will be operating weekday services and a Sunday service.
Speaking with Moffee on 2CS FM, Mr Graham said, “We generally find the Sunday afternoon is really important so people can go down on a Friday and come back on a Sunday.”
Mr Graham said, “Discussions with Coffs Harbour Council and Newcastle Airport have been very positive and we are thrilled to be expanding our network and increasing capacity into both of these growing airports.”
Airport Manager for Coffs Harbour Regional Airport, Dennis Martin said, “We are delighted to welcome the arrival of FlyPelican’s new services between Newcastle and Coffs Harbour. This new route provides the Coffs Coast with a valuable new travel link that will boost both leisure and business markets to the region.”
FlyPelican one-way fares on Newcastle – Coffs Harbour services will start from just $99 inclusive of all taxes.
