The ‘Sir Peter Cosgrove in conversation’ event will be held from 7pm to 8pm on Monday, 30 November and will see General Sir Peter Cosgrove in conversation with author Richard Glover discussing his new memoir ‘You shouldn’t have joined…’.

General Sir Peter Cosgrove is one of Australia’s most significant public figures.

As a soldier he saw action in Vietnam, winning the Military Cross, and rose to the very top of his profession to become Chief of the Defence Force.

Then in 2014, Cosgrove became Australia’s Governor General.

‘You shouldn’t have joined…’ is the memoir of Cosgrove’s full and eventful life, covering some of his military life and also providing incredible insight into the role and world of Australia’s Governor General.
