Getting creative – there’s More Than a Beach for the family these holidays

SUMMER’S here and we all love to get our hair salty, toes sandy and have fun frolicking in the surf!

But for families seeking some relief from the heat or perhaps looking to mix it up a little, then make sure to check out Arts Mid North Coast’s More Than a Beach Summer Arts Guide for Kids.

Every year Arts Mid North Coast gathers together the best summertime creative activities and events for kids happening right across the Mid North Coast.

Their online guide covers the entire region from Coffs Harbour to Tea Gardens and is filled with hands-on activities, workshops and events for the young ones.

“We are so lucky to live in a region rich in culture and heritage,” said Liv Parker, Projects and Programs Manager at Arts Mid North Coast.

“Our annual More Than A Beach guide for Kids as well as our Cultural Trails and Creative Places encourages residents and visitors to rediscover their creative selves and explore the cultural offerings in the area.”

Arts Mid North Coast is our local Regional Arts Development Organisation (RADO), one of 13 across the state.

As the peak body for arts and cultural development in the region, Arts Mid North Coast supports and collaborates with government, communities, organisations, business and individuals to build capacity and create opportunities for the arts and creative industries.

“We encourage all artists and event promoters to take advantage of the broad range of services we offer such as project advice, grants programs, professional development and promotional opportunities.

“Our comprehensive What’s On Calendar lists all the arts and cultural events and exhibitions happening across the Mid North Coast.

“It’s a simple uploading process plus it’s free!”
