Winners on the day were Lisa George, Richard George, David Cheeseman and Narelle Cheeseman with a score of 55.375. Runners up on the day were Alan Gleeson, Steve Sattler, Les Miller and Warwick Jones with 56.125 with a narrow margin from Peter Hughes, Paul Hughes, Stephen Cribb and Rodney Sullivan with a score of 56.75. The Men’s Long Drives were won by Steve Venner and R Crooks, while the Ladies Long Drives were won by Liz Ross and Judy Gilbert. The nearest the Pins were won by Richard George (3rd), Paul Fordy (5th), Helen Venner (10th) and Snowy Gorton (16th). Each year the sponsor of the Grey Nomads’ Cup, Palm Lake Resort also conducts a keenly contested competition on the day for a perpetual shield between their Tea Gardens and Fern Bay Resorts, the “Grey’s on the Green” Shield.
