Hawks Nest is about to explode with an extravaganza of entertainment.
Saturday 9 April 2016 is the Grey and Thespian Mardi Gras Market Day and it may well change your life.
By signing up to a new club, organisation, sporting or interest group you will meet new people, get out and about and enjoy the retirement lifestyle you always dreamed of.
Official busker, Peter James will provide a perfect musical backdrop for you to make the most of the day.
To entertain you, the Hawks Nest / Tea Gardens Progress Association and Myall Coast Chamber of Commerce and Tourism will present a full day of live performances in the Hawks Nest Village Square.
The program has been expertly arranged with the assistance of the Myall Coast Entertainers and includes a vast array of local talent.
There is something for everyone – young and young at heart. All performers are donating their time for your enjoyment.
The entertainment will begin at 9:30am with The Outcasts, a Scottish pipe and drum band leading the crowd in fine tradition around Hawks Nest to the Village Square.
Once in the square, take a seat in the shade and enjoy these performances:
Music by SAGE
Poetry with Bob Bush and friends

As part of the upcoming Grey and Thespian Mardi Gras, on Saturday 9 April, the Myall Coast Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is asking local community groups to come together and showcase the outstanding activities and variety of groups available in our towns.
“It’s a great opportunity for groups to promote themselves, distribute information and sign up new members,” said Chamber President Mark McCormick.
“Market Day is also a great opportunity for you to show off your arts and crafts and for local businesses to introduce their wares,” he said.
Market Stalls are free for Non-Profit Community Groups, $25 for local Arts & Craft producers, and only $50 for commercial businesses.
