DESPITE intense winds, the rain held off and allowed Irrawang High School to put on a wonderful day for their Spring Fair.
There were rides, market stalls, performances and food aplenty, quite literally something for everyone.
Local small businesses showed their wares, there were food stalls showcasing food from other cultures and rides for the children.
The petting zoo gave children a chance to meet some different furry friends, and LuLu the pony delighted the little ones, being walked around the school, greeting visitors.
The jumping castles were moved inside the hall due to the weather, and provided a colourful backdrop of fun to the iDance performance company dancers who wowed the crowd.
The Irrawang drummers put on a show and impressed the fair goers, as did the school’s CAPA department performers and special education class performers.
Irrawang High wishes to acknowledge the wonderful community support they had, that ensured the smooth running and overall success of the day,
It was great to see the Raymond Terrace Lions Club, the Rotary Club of Raymond Terrace, SES and the local fire brigade here.
Jo Cotton and her family from Abundance Auto Recycling provided a wrecked car for the SES to provide a demonstration on how to cut a person out at the scene of an accident.
Well done Irrawang High on putting on such a fantastic family day.
