The competition will be high as students from each school ‘House’ ( Dawson, Moy, Osborne and Bramley) aim to beautify the school and make it a nicer place to be.

During the term, plans will be developed and designs finalised with final proposals to be presented to the Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) team in week nine.

During the Easter holidays, students, teachers and volunteers will donate their valuable holiday time to a two to three day working bee to implement the students designs and renovate their chosen space at the school.

School Captain Annabel Bisley and Vice Captain Dylan Hopper launched THE BLOCK project this week at assembly, to a very excited hall of future Blockheads.

Irrawang High School representative, Luella Fagan, told News Of The Area, “Our school family is so proud of these students for their idea, and all the planning they have put in place.”

“It will be a wonderful project for the students to be involved in, and we look forward to seeing the results.”

“it is so heartwarming to see the students so excited about taking pride in their school and the way it is presented,” she said.

Stay tuned for updates on THE BLOCK project, as News Of The Area follows these passionate students and their renovations.
