OUR two feeder high schools, Irrawang High and Hunter River High, can be very proud this week of their student representatives.

Students from both schools volunteered last week for Legacy Week, and sold pins, badges, bears, bracelets and more at Raymond Terrace Marketplace, and at their schools, to benefit this worthy charity.

Jan Noake, community member, told News Of The Area, “It was so lovely to see such friendly and well-presented young people collecting for such an important cause.”

“They represented their schools very well, and they should be proud of them,” said Ms Noake.

Legacy is dedicated to caring for the families of veterans who have died or become incapacitated either on service or subsequently.

This extends to veterans who have served in war and on peacekeeping and humanitarian missions.

The actions of our young people last week is a timely reminder of how many wonderful young people we have in our community.
