Lemon Tree was one of them.” With this in mind, it was suggested that they take ‘The Lakes Way’ on their journey north and call in at Seal Rocks. Word of mouth and the upgrade of Lemon Tree waterfront facilities has seen a massive rise in the number of day trippers and people seeking somewhere to holiday or to retire to from the rat-race of the cities. On top of this, the wildlife and native flora also draw visitors to the nature trails which now circle the peninsula. Koalas, dolphins, sea eagles, pelicans and even sea turtles can be found around the foreshore. The photo was taken by local sports fisherman Daniel Mc. He makes videos and posts freeze frame photos of his exploits. This delightful shot captures a friendly pelican snaffling a fish he was tossed. By Geoff WALKER A very happy pelican at Tanilba Bay.
