This moving tribute has been performed before, and to wide acclaim. Amahl and the Night Visitors was written by Carlo Menotti in 1952. Directed by Diane Williams, this one-act opera tells the story of Amahl, a crippled boy, and his mother who are visited by the Magi on their way to find the Christ child. With beautiful music and a very talented local cast this is an ideal first time opera, and is suitable for the whole family. Tickets are $10 per person and available at the door.
