The Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Motor Club Inc. is set to hold its annual Motorfest Community Aid Event Day, next weekend, Saturday 12 March, at the Myall Sports Oval at Hawks Nest.
All indications are that this years event will again attract in excess of 300 vehicles and motorcycles.
Many Clubs from the Sydney basin and also from Newcastle and surrounding areas have indicated that their members are keen to attend this years event.
The Tea Gardens Hawks Nest locality attracts many visitors and members of the various clubs make a weekend of the event and stay for a number of days before and after Motorfest.
Acting Club Secretary Phil Hoare said, “Our Club members have worked tirelessly during the year to ensure the success of Motorfest 2016 and this year have seen a number of new members join the Motor Club.”
“On Saturday 12 March the days events commence at 10am with the official opening of Motorfest 2016 by the Deputy Mayor of Great Lakes Council, Mr Len Roberts.”
“As always the days program is hosted by the our reputable and very enthusiastic MC Mr Terry Munright,” said Mr Hoare.
The Rural Fire Service will again be present and will provide sausage sandwiches and other goodies.
There will be tea and coffee with scones available. Cold drinks will also be available.
Get along and bring the family for a great day of inspecting and enjoying looking at very unique, historic, classic and veteran motor vehicles and cycles.
Entry is by a gold Coin Donation and this year the funds raised are being donated to the Local Surf Club at Hawks Nest, the Local Rural Fire Services and the Tea Gardens Clinic Bus.
