The Myall Arts and Craft Centre will host the popular annual Art and Craft Show this weekend.
The huge three day exhibition is on 8, 9 and 10 January and is expected to see a large crowd.
The event, originally designed to highlight the talent of many of the Centre members, has evolved from what was once known as the Hut Group.
In its earlier form, this annual Art Show displayed mostly paintings and only a small amount of craftwork.
This weekend you will expect to see three rooms full of paintings, photographs, prints, pottery, mosaics, soft crafts, braided rugs, leatherwork, woodwork, decorative art, jewellery, baby clothes and much more.
Most of the items are offered for sale.
Foundation member at the Arts and Craft Centre Joan Wilcox told Myall Coast News, “There will be so much on display.”
“So many, of our 250 members, helped orgainse this event this year,” Ms Wilcox said.
“Each year we always look to donate the money raised back into the local area.”
Ms Wilcox said, “This year the Centre has decided upon donating the funds raised to the Hawks Nest Surf Life Saving Club for their defibrillator.”
Surf Club President Steve Howell told Myall Coast News the Club was overwhelmed with the support.
“The second defibrillator allows us to respond to remote situations without leaving the patrol without this vital lifesaving equipment.,” he said.
The Myall Arts and Craft Centre is located behind the Council Offices and Tourist Information Centre, just before going over the Tea Gardens Hawks Next bridge.
This event is just one of many community based works the members conduct and they all do such a tremendous job within the community.
Get along to support them whilst grabbing a few great art and craft bargains.
Myall Coast News are a very proud sponsor of this years event.
The Exhibition and sale will commence from 9.30am each of the three days and conclude at 4.30pm.
