People had the opportunity to meet their co-ordinators and to catch up with old U3A friends after the long summer break.

Enrolment has increased despite Covid requirements and people are now looking forward to delving into their various interests with likeminded people who share a passion for acquiring new skills, or simply luxuriating in the joy of learning.

George Nadal, who instructs the French classes, has reported that he now must divide Beginners French into two classes because of increasing numbers.

He is up to the task and has organised Intermediate and Advanced French at other times.

Linda Leggott, Myall U3A President and Garden Club Convener, said that her group is planning to do a seed collecting project and research that will include visits to specialised nurseries.

Denis Church will be running ‘Be Connected’, a program which will enable people to become more comfortable with computer technology.

“It is never too late to join Myall U3A, if you would like to find out how to come on board as a member or if you have a skill/expertise you would like to share and become a convener or presenter we’d love to hear from you!” saidAnne Rutter, Myall U3A.

“There’s plenty of info on our other courses like photography, singing in the choir, exploring Big Ideas, attending our fabulous Friday Presentations, Reading for Pleasure, getting fit with yoga, enjoying Opera in the Afternoon or joining us to watch a movie with Friends of Film, please feel free to contact us anytime either on our website at or email us at or call on: 0431 523 093.

“Currently masks must be worn on all occasions, due to Covid restrictions but that won’t stop you ‘Living, Laughing and Learning’ with us at Myall U3A!” Anne said.
