THE ‘new kids’ in town have started their time in Medowie well by embracing the community spirit straight away.

Our newest real estate, LJ Hooker, have taken over a shop front in the BP service centre complex and are already happily getting involved in the community.

LJ Hooker have come on board as one of the major sponsors for Medowie Rugby Club, making a generous agreement in a three year contract.

Medowie Rugby Club spokesperson Lisa Cook told News Of The Area, “We are so grateful to businesses who love to look after our local clubs.”

“LJ Hooker were more than happy to come on board, and we can’t wait to share a successful season with them and the Medowie Rugby Club family.”

“We have big plans for this season, and there is no doubt there’s a lot of fun and great events to share with the community, our players, volunteers and sponsors,” she said.

Community sporting clubs are often reliant on the generosity of sponsors, so it is wonderful to see so many Medowie businesses on board this year with sponsorship of various local clubs.

Medowie Rugby Club will also launch an LJ Hooker award this year, to be presented at the end of each season.

The yearly winner of this award will win an expenses paid trip to the National Rugby Camp, held in Armidale each year.

Best wishes to Medowie Rugby Club for a successful season.

News Of The Area looks forward to sharing your events and endeavours with the community this year.
