“We are proud to be part of the community,” Port Macquarie Branch Manager Kerry Lumby said.

“We are hoping to be a long-term solution for banking needs, and we are looking forward to fostering a relationship with the community.”

Agent Judy Dixon was joined by staff from Bendigo’s Port Macquarie and Central Coast Branches for the festivities, which included an official ribbon cutting ceremony at the Post Office location.

Bendigo Bank’s Mascot ‘Piggy’ was also on hand for the celebrations, and made a surprise visit to Bulahdelah Preschool.

There was no rest for the pig, who also served customers at the Post Office and assisted with delivering the mail, before hitting the streets to spread the word about the new bank in town.

“Bendigo Bank will be offering the whole range of banking services, deposits, withdrawals, loans, the works, anything a bank can do, we can do,” Ms Lumby said.

“We are here for the long term, when we commit to something, we are always looking to make sure it succeeds.”

Ms Lumby said Bendigo Bank, which has a network of more than 540 branches across Australia, also intends to be part of many community events throughout the year.

Mrs Dixon told News Of The Area, she is pleased to be able to work with Bendigo Bank to provide the community with easy access to a full range of banking services once again.

“With the support of locals, this venture will provide a great service for community,” she said.
