Consider this a business discussion rather than thinking that someone considers your beautiful home is not worthy of the price you have placed on it. As annoying as it can be, the low offer is not meant to be an insult (although it may feel like it). It is merely the potential purchaser trying to get the best deal they can and possibly trying to work within their tight budget. They may also be considering how much they must spend on the property to bring it to the standard they desire. Rightly or wrongly, this does occur, and we need to respond. Even if the potential purchaser is way off the price you have decided is your lowest, respond with a counter offer. Even if your counter offer is still close to the listed price you have on your property, keep the negotiations going by counter offering at this price.
