Launched at the final Medowie Markets in December last year, the van is a result of team of dedicated hard working people, plus contributions from members of Overflow Church.

Pastor Brad Fewster told News Of The Area, “We’ve had so much support from the church it’s fantastic.”

“People in our church, like Arthur and Dianne Parlett, have worked away to deliver a van that will bless the community for years to come.”

“We’ve also had great support from a number of local business people who aren’t looking for any recognition but simply want to see our community prosper.”

The van will regularly be seen at the Medowie Markets which has been co-ordinated by Overflow Church for many years.

It is fully equipped with cooking facilities, ready to make those delicious market sausage sandwiches and bacon and egg rolls our community has come to know and love.

Markets Coordinator, Pastor David Deal, said: “The van is part of the way the church wants to ‘overflow’ into the community and simply provide the things our community is wanting.”

“We envisage the van being used in a host of ways to support various community projects and events,” he said.

The first Medowie Markets for 2017 will be held on Saturday 11 February outside the Bull & Bush Hotel in Medowie.
