When compared to data collected in June 2016, the recent figures indicate an increase in the speed travelled by motorists on the road. Manager Design and Investigation Kumar Kuruppu tabled the figures at the December meeting of the Local Traffic Committee. The committee recommended that police be requested to undertake enforcement of Kingfisher Avenue in an effort to reduce the speed of road users.
