Kelly Hammond, one of the founding members of Birubi Paws told News Of The Area, “On behalf of Birubi Paws a huge thanks to Jay and Elizabeth from Port Stephens Council!

“Our first doggie day out was truly successful.”

She went on to thank Ranger Dan and the staff from National Parks for sharing their knowledge and passion for Worimi Country.

Saturday was blustery with strong onshore winds, however the weather didn’t stop the four-legged friends enjoying free treats and learning new skills.

“We look forward to next year as the event grows,” she said.

There are plans to grow the event with new activities including best dressed dog on the day in the future.
