Julia Redlich of the Fingal Bay Probus Club said to News of The Area, “Who can resist visits to the Chocolate Factory at Pokolbin, wine tasting at nearby McGuigan’s Winery, that also included a cheese tasting at the Hunter Valley Cheese Factory?”
The group also visited Petersons Winery at Mountview, and enjoyed a superb dinner at the Brickworks Brasserie.
“Add in dinner at Blue Thai at the holiday base and a sausage sizzle picnic behind Hunter Valley Gardens Shopping Village where the fabulous shops were investigated, making the trip a real pleasure for all,” she said.
Another day and another wonderful outing with morning tea at Myrtle House Café before Wollombi was explored, the Country Store getting special attention.
There was a fine farewell pizza night at Ingenia Holidays’ camp kitchen, safely in the hands of trip mastermind Ross Jennings, aided and abetted by Roy and Geraldine Jeffery.
