How do you think the region’s local councils can improve how they work together?
What are the defining features of the Coffs Coast and what can we strengthen to help make a better future?
Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast (RDAMNC) and Business NSW want to hear answers to these questions and other ideas from business owners, managers and community leaders.
The organisations are working in collaboration and will be travelling throughout the Coffs Coast region setting up a mobile office in a different town each week.
RDAMNC would usually hold their annual conference, Ignite MNC, at this time of year.
The conference focuses on connecting and linking business owners and community leaders but due to COVID 19 was postponed until 2021.
Setting up a mobile office in towns across the region is an initiative that the organisation feels will provide a conduit to maintain and strengthen these connections.
“With the current COVID 19 restrictions and everything else that has happened over the last year we realise it is difficult to travel and connect, especially for business owners,” Kerry Grace, CEO of RDAMNC said.
“We want to use this opportunity to gain an understanding of the issues that MNC residents are facing and to hear about what can be done to build a more resilient future for the region.”
Business NSW Regional Manager Kellon Beard said that he is very happy to be supporting RDAMNC and this initiative.
“Now is an important time for businesses as they struggle with COVID 19, and it is great to see the RDAMNC interacting with businesses to understand their issues and what we can do together to help resolve them,” Mr Beard said.
The mobile offices will be Covid-friendly and access is by appointment only.
There are six individual appointments available and an option for a focus group with up to ten people.
The mobile office will be held in Sawtell on September 30, Coffs Harbour / Woolgoolga on October 28 and Bellingen 11 November.
