Stacey said they are going to miss all the wonderful people they have met. “Meeting so many lovely people has been a highlight,” she said. “We have had some great times and it has been a lot of fun.” In addition to the spectacular views across the Myall River, the family run business built a reputation for providing friendly service and excellent food, which included their big breakfasts and Stacey’s famous Freakshakes. “Thank you for a delicious breakfast this morning, it was perfect,” one customer recently posted on social media. “Your daughters are a great asset, so friendly,” another stated. Stacey, who is looking forward to spending more time with her family, said making the decision to close the doors was a very difficult one to make. “We gave it go, but reluctantly we have decided to close,” she said. “We thank everyone for their wonderful support over the past few years.” As residents stopped by the Cafe last Friday to get their final bite, the sentiments of customers were summed up by one who stated, “Thanks for the good food, good coffee and good times, you did a fantastic job.” Customer Christine McAlpine with Maddie Harvey and Stacey Brown on the final day of trading at the Riverside Cafe.
