The first prize of $5,000 worth of travel from Altitude Travel here in Tea Gardens has proved incredibly popular.
With a second prize of a Smart TV and third being a dinner for two from Mumms Seafood Restaurant, the raffle tickets have been in great demand.
Club President, Ian Mackenzie-Smith has announced that the raffle will be drawn earlier than anticipated and in time for Christmas.
“The draw will be held outside Fiona’s Family Cafe in the Myall Quays shopping centre on Saturday 14 December at 10.30am with everyone welcome,” Mr Mackenzie-Smith said.
Ian and all the Rotary members would like to thank everyone for their wonderful support.
“The proceeds of the raffle will be distributed principally to drought affected farmers and their families through the network of Rotary Clubs with 100 cents in the dollar going to those in dire need,” he said.
A smaller proportion will go to the victims of the recent disastrous bushfires.
The prize winners will be published in the NOTA in a later edition.
