He’s ditching his sleigh, giving the reindeer a break in a good paddock with plenty of pick, and hitching a ride on some local fire engines to spread some Christmas cheer.

On Sunday Santa joined the crew of the Raymond Terrace Fire and Rescue on a trip through the streets for his annual lolly run.

Acting Captain Giacomo Arnott from Raymond Terrace Fire & Rescue told News Of The Area, “Our crew is really excited to be able to bring Santa to the streets of Raymond Terrace and Heatherbrae as part of our annual lolly run.

He recognised that it has been a big, tough year with COVID-19, and we’re pleased to be able to give back to our community by doing the lolly run.

“We’ll be doing it a bit differently this year – we’re going back to how many people would remember from years ago, and visiting every single street, throwing lollies to every kid who comes outside to greet Santa.

“We wouldn’t be able to do the lolly run without the incredible support of local businesses and the local community,” he said.

Santa has already been seen in and around Williamtown alongside the Rural Fire Service.

Santa will also be getting to other areas and will be seen with members of the Rural Fire Service in areas including Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest, Pindimar, word on the street is that Santa has a sack full of lollies and plenty of Christmas cheer to share.

Once the lolly runs are all done, Santa will drop by and pick up Rudolph and the rest of his reindeer and sleigh for his epic journey on Christmas Eve where he will share Christmas joy to all.
