The holidays can be a challenge for parents to fill so many hours with holiday fun for children.

MarketPlace Raymond Terrace has FREE kids school holiday entertainment this January.

Kids will have the opportunity at MarketPlace to decorate their own calico carry bag, design colourful works of art in sand, and let their inner artist shine with canvas painting.

Jennifer Mason Visitor Services Manager, of the Hunter Regional Botanic Gardens told News Of The Area, “The Gardens reopen on 2 January, and families should visit the gardens and explore the kids adventure walk and cubby house, it’s also a great spot for a picnic and families can take a walk through the gardens enjoy the on-site cafe.”

Boomerang Park has a great skate park and a wonderful playground which has fitness equipment adjacent to the children’s play equipment making it a perfect option for parents wanting a bit of exercise while the kids play.

A visit to the Raymond Terrace Library will reveal hours of entertainment between the covers of some amazing children’s books.

A stroll along the river at Riverside Park also has the sculpture installations of a Serpent and Fish which are worth exploring.

For the very hot days a trip to Lakeside Leisure Centre will cool things down and the undercover section means you can enjoy the water without too much exposure to the sun.
