The school will be hosting a birthday party event at the school to celebrate the anniversary on Saturday 4 November between 10am – 4pm.
As part of the celebrations, the Parents and Community (P&C) are creating a visual and narrative timeline through the display of old photographs and stories from past students and staff.
Soldiers Point P&C committee member Brenda Madden, told News Of The Area, “The timeline would bring the past to life through stories and images, the timeline is a great way to show how the school grounds, uniform, teachers’ fashion and haircuts have changed over time, especially from the very early years.”
‘The school has also grown considerably, but amongst all of the modern buildings and demountables they have the original school house cottage that is filled with students learning every day,” Ms Madden said.
