The Tanilba Bay Senior Citizens offers locals a place to connect and engage in conversation, craft and even some sport.
The centre offers a range of activities and has assets ready to be used including a full sized pool table.
There is an open day being held on Wednesday 1 May from 9-1pm.
Fay Kelly told News Of The Area, “There will be an array of demonstrations and activities on the day including demonstrations on spinning and weaving, card making, macramé and jewellery making.”
The day will also see a bric-a-brac table and craft table with treasures to buy, a morning tea for a gold coin donation with a Mother’s Day raffle with a $100 cash prize for first place.
The Open Day is designed to showcase the centre and its offerings to those older residents in the community that would like to connect, have a place to talk and enjoy each others company while enjoying some activities.
“If we get positive interest in the demonstrations we are hoping to hold some workshops where the seniors of Tanilba Bay can learn how to make jewellery, cards, macramé spin and weave,” she said.
