Pomp and circumstance rules at the Grange. The past week at the Grange has seen strong support for all things Royal and Regal with a celebration of Royal Week taking place.
The yearly themed week of celebrations began last Wednesday with a Royal themed movie morning.
Thursday afternoon took off with a High Tea and fashion parade by Dianne of BT’s for Fashion.
Friday saw a Royal themed trivia competition with strong support from residents and visitors alike.
A Gala dinner and dance took place on Saturday night with entertainment by Michael and Jill Harvey supported by Vaughan Lawrence.
Vaughan and Michael met on the set of the once popular Mike Walsh Show and have both performed on a variety of stages in very colourful careers.
Vaughan has sung with the likes of Shirley Bassey and Dionne Warwick and his silky smooth voice took everyone back to another era.
A particularly well dressed crowd was in attendance and when Vaughan completed his set, Michael’s wife Jill took over the microphone and had the whole room dancing.
Royal games with golf chipping, darts and a sausage sizzle are the order of the day for Monday.
Local cooking whiz Heidi Davidson is catering for the Tuesday luncheon with Bob Bush reciting poetry in the afternoon.
The week culminates with High Tea on Wednesday and according to all sources the week has been well attended and ‘full of the Royal spirit’
Thanks to Julie Woollard and the great crew at The Grange for organising a great week providing entertainment for all comers and showcasing the lifestyle at The Grange.
