As in previous years and by popular demand, Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Motor Club will again participate in the forthcoming Myall River Festival event.
Club members will exhibit their veteran, vintage, classic and unique vehicles on Maxwell Street for visitors to inspect and enjoy.
The Motor Club will have and information gazebo at the Festival.
Motor Clubs members will be available to answer any questions from motoring enthusiasts regarding their cars.
MOTORFEST 2015, which is to scheduled for 7 March 2015 at Hawks Nest, is also something the Club is happy to chat about.
There are presently a number of vehicle restorations taking place in Hawks Nest, Tea Gardens and surrounding areas.
Four members have recently joined the Club and any interested motor vehicle enthusiasts are encouraged to meet other members during the Club’s monthly meetings held at the Country Club (Conference Room) every second Tuesday at 7PM.
Apart from an exchange of ideas, there are monthly ‘Club runs’ to nearby locations or places of interest, very much enjoyed by all participants.
PREPARATIONS for this month’s Myall River Festival are well underway for the one day event on Saturday 25th October on the Tea Gardens Riverfront.
Thanks to the wonderful support of our Presenting Partner, Coles, this year’s activity will be continuous from 10:00am through to the Fireworks display at approximately 8:15pm.
Tea Gardens Public School pupils spent last week working on designing and assembling large aquatic themed lanterns that will be paraded along Marine Drive accompanied by fire performers and drummers at sunset whilst other illuminated elements float by on the river.
The school will again be conducting the Duck Derby at midday as a fundraising activity and the whole community is encouraged to support this initiative.
The traditional Sail Past is scheduled for 11:00am providing our proud boat owners with the opportunity to decorate and show off their on water obsession.
Any interested ‘boaties’ are welcome to contact Kerry MacIntosh from Myall River Tourer 0408 561 796 to become involved in this celebration.
A program of entertainment and activities both on and off the water will also include: a great array of wonderful music and stage performances, street performers and fun roving characters, water craft demonstrations, market stalls and community information stalls, amusement rides and free Kidz Play Zone.
