TEA Gardens Hotel Motel has been listed for sale after 68 years of family ownership with expressions of interest open with agent, Manenti Quinlan & Associates, until Thursday, 7 August 2014.
The hotel has been home for many locals frequenting the establishment from surrounding areas and of course, many holidaymakers who have been revisiting the area for many years.
Situated in a prime location facing the Myall River, patrons have been able to experience the feel of a “local pub” as well as take in the ambiance and happenings on the river.
Facilities at the hotel include bars, dining room, function room, outdoor children’s play areas, TAB, Keno, a first floor manager’s residence and 21 motel suites.
Myall Coast News contacted John Manenti from the listing agency, who said, “This hotel is an absolutely great business and has attracted lots of interest from bigger pubs in Sydney who have a feel for the local identity that it has become in Tea Gardens.
“There are also investors who are looking at the property and several holidaymakers, who have an affinity with the hotel, have also shown keen interest in the property, all of whom are mindful of keeping the feel of the hotel being “the local” for the local community.”
Myall Coast News also attempted to contact the hotel owners, Rob and Lee Anderson, to let you know their story, however we received no response at the time of publication.
