The good field of 51 players were restricted to just one game before the heavens opened after one end of the afternoon game.
With the fate of the winning teams determined by the luck of the draw, the Palm Lake connection of; Doug Naylor, and Alan Greenhalgh winning on the grass and Rob Young, Greg Porter and Keith Smith on the synthetic.
The Myall Bistro Voucher was won again by Barry Goode.
Players celebrated the end of the football season some turning up in their favourite strip but none supported the Grand Finalists.
Brian McPhie went all the way, proudly displaying the wooded spoon!
Not many players took advantage of the glorious spring weather today with only 14 turning out for the Friday Open Pairs.
Vic Garlick and Dennis Wilberforce claimed the bragging rights.

Organisers of the Palm Lake Pairs, scheduled for 13/14 October, have decided to keep the entry sheet open until the event is fully subscribed.
There are some well credentialed players entered for this tournament but there are bound to be upsets from those with no reputations to protect.
Bowlers would do well to mark Friday 19 October on their calendar so that they do not miss the annual Oncology Day organised by the Women’s Bowling Club.
