21 November

The annual “Dolphin “Day was held today commencing with some time out to remember the bowlers who have passed on.

Before play, a short commemoration was held around the Club flagpole with the flag at half-mast.

Members from the Tea Gardens Women’s Bowling Club then took on the male members in a “Shirts V Skirts”, Trophy competition.

It will be remembered, although many men are trying to forget, that the ladies won this event last year and they were out for revenge!

The bowling was fierce with no quarter taken or conceded.

The match score was even but it must be said that the “honour of the regiment” was restored with a resounding 58-39 score line favouring the men.
