The Wednesday Nominated Triples competition held today attracted 57 players including visitors from North Haven and Sydney.

The winners this week were determined by the second best performing teams in both games.
This saw Vic Garlick, Col Fossey and Bill Heylbut, on +17 winning some money, and the composite team of George Winter/David Benson, John Yabsley and Neville Vaughn, on +13, completing the prize winners
The lucky card went to Ron Green, Ross Barry and Danny Johnson.
It was great to welcome back Dave Benson after his major surgery and Peter Cheney is stalking the green and just itching to play.
President, Noel Jackson welcomed a new member, Kevin Nowland, and presented him with the Club bowls cloth.
Round 6 of the Newcastle District Pennant Competition was played today with the First National Grade 4 side playing Karuah at home.
It was a case of Tea Gardens winning the battle but losing the war as Tea Gardens won two of the three games.
The John Parkinson team was the most successful winning 20-17.
The Keith Smith side won a close won 17-16 but the remaining game the Karuah team won by too many shots for Tea Gardens to take the match.
Karuah winning 61-51.
Grade 6 played away at Wallsend and it was a similar story to that of the Fours.
The Leigh Hunt combination stood out for Tea Gardens with a great win 26-13 and the Noel Jackson team dropped an unfortunate 5 on the penultimate end to lose their game 19-22.
The remaining Tea Gardens team were never in the game and were soundly beaten 12-28.
Wallsend winning the match 63-57.
The good news for the weekend was another great win to the First National Grade 7 side.
They played Wallsend at home.
All three teams had good wins with the Alan Greenhalgh four leading all the way to win 26-20.
The Doug Naylor combination kept their unbeaten record intact with a runaway win 31-17 and the Max Stephens four finished strongly to win 25-16.
Tea Gardens recording a comfortable win 82-53.
There will be no Pennant play next week, due to the Easter weekend and round 7 will commence on 27 April.
In other news;
Catch-up Pennant games and bad weather are interfering with round 2 of the Major Pairs Championship which was due to resume 14 April.
Players in this competition are welcome to play at any time, by mutual agreement, provided they advise the Bowls Committee beforehand.
The official date for the resumption of Round 2 is Sunday 28 April.
There is a visit planned with the popular Duke of Wellington bowlers on Easter Sunday.
All Tea Gardens players are invited to attend.
Starting time 9.30 for 10.00 am.
The cost is $20.00 per player including a barbecue lunch.
