The Angel Billy Golf Tournament Is Back Supporting The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service

THE biggest fundraiser for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service in Port Stephens is back with the Angel Billy Golf Tournament scheduled for November 7.

The tournament has been running for many years and supports the service that offers help to everyone in the region in their hour of need.

From search and rescue operations at sea to cliff rescues and medical emergency transfers, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter forms a vital part of the emergency services for the region.

The Angel Billy Golf Tournament is a timed team start, running from two tees, with players registering at 8.00am and teeing off from 8.30am.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter Volunteer Carla Beer said, “Why not grab a team, Corporate or Social, and join us for a day to raise funds for our Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service?”

The four player Ambrose event is one way that everyone in the community can support the service even if you are not playing you can buy a raffle ticket.

Players will enjoy a great day of gold with excitement added with a nearest the pin, Hole in One sponsored by Port Stephens Toyota and there are major raffle prizes from Harvey Norman at Salamander Bay valued at over $3,000!

In line with COVID safety, all players must be double vaccinated.

“Time is running out to book in as we are holding this major fundraising event Sunday 7th November 2021,” Carla said.

This is the major fundraiser for the Westpac Helicopter Service-Port Stephens Support Group and the team are looking forward to you joining and supporting the service with a fun day – all in aid of a very worthy cause!
