The Tomaree Ladies Probus Club holds events for ladies and some other events where spouses are welcome.
The ladies recently got together and held their Annual General Meeting followed by their Change Over luncheon at Nelson Bay Bowling Club.
The lunch was the highlight of the day with the members all tucking into a wonderful meals and talking about what the club will be doing over the next 12 months.
Retiring President Wendy Bowden, was warmly thanked by incoming President Mary Judge.
Denise Clark has taken on the Secretary role replacing long serving Secretary, Daphne Smith.
Kitty Phipps retains her Treasurer’s position.
Julie McAllister the Nelson Bay Ladies Probus Club’s Publicity Officer told News Of The Area, “We welcome all ladies the opportunity to come along and find out about what we do, and of course to consider joining us.”
This friendly Probus Club meets monthly on the third Wednesday morning at Nelson Bay Bowling Club and welcomes new members to join them in fun and friendship on trips and outings and hear interesting speakers.
Julie encourages ladies to give up one morning to come along to a meeting, have a coffee and a chat and explore a connected retirement with the Ladies of the Nelson Bay Ladies Probus Club.
