Want to know what’s available locally with local business and service providers?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above, then you can’t go past the Information Booklet produced and updated by our local Tomaree Neighbourhood Centre (TNC), for $5.00.

The booklet is jam packed with information on just about everything you could ever need in the Port Stephens area.

The staff and volunteers pride themselves on being the ‘Hub of the Community’.

With upcoming events for the school holidays such as cooking and Bricks for Kids, they organise monthly volunteer seminars where volunteer rights and responsibilities are addressed and organisations looking for volunteers can present their organisation and its unique requirements.

The annual membership of $5.00 gives access to reduced services such as photocopying, printing, binding and much more.

Located alongside the library at Salamander Bay, their resources and local knowledge are second to none, staff attend regular interagency meetings so are up-to-date with local events and what is happening around town.

The TNC is also a referral service and a point of contact for those who may be suffering within our community.

Manager Amy Ellis told News Of The Area, “It is surprising and somewhat disappointing that our services are not more widely known within the community.”

“We have so much to offer both the community and local businesses, our advertising rates within the Booklet are extremely affordable, not only that, we provide a service to those either new in town or visiting, with a comprehensive, easy to use guide to local organisations and services available.”
